Florence Barbour Haskins

Reidsville – Florence Barbour Haskins, 88, of Carolina House, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the chapel of Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis English and Pastor Shannon Newsome officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.Mrs. Haskins was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Eddie Coleman Barbour and Flossie Doss Barbour. She was a member of Reidsville Christian Church and was employed with ZARN for many years and later employed with IEM Plastics. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed work and also loved fishing, gardening, Crocheting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Mickey” Haskins; grandson, Charles Knox Haskins; brothers, Aubrey and Levi Barbour.Survivors include sons, William Clayton Haskins and wife, Sueann, Bobby Wayne Haskins and wife, Debbie, Eugene Brian Haskins and wife, Debra; daughter, Linda Haskins Hooper and husband, Mike; grandchildren, William Phillip Haskins, Deanna Williams and husband, Jason, David Michael Hooper, Jessica King and husband, Corey, Callie Briann Haskins, Chandy Jo Haskins, Christina Burke and husband, Dave; great grandchildren, Joshua Haskins, Jocelyn King, Madeline Lea Williams; sisters, Verna Brame and Claire Travis, both of New Bern, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 5 from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Other times at the home of Bobby and Debbie Haskins, 331 Copperhead Road.
