Forbes Clastin Cook

Reidsville: Forbes Clastin Cook, 91, of Roach Street, died on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 5, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Puryear officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Mr. Forbes was born in Rockingham County to the late Bruce Cook and Bessie Pritchett Cook. He retired from Love Tractor Sales after 40 years of service. He was a former member of the Men’s Garden Club and loved to work in his garden and sale produce at the Farmer’s Market. He was known as the "candy man". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Cook; brother, Walter, Richard and L. Norman Cook and sister, Cletus Hodnett. He is survived by his sister, Marie Rudd and husband, Walter; great nephew, Scott Cook and wife, Angela; great great nieces, Gabrielle and Victoria; many other special nephews, nieces and family members. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
