Gibsonville: Frances
Mabe Gauldin, 75, of 4685 Troxler Mill Rd,
passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital.
Funeral services will be held
at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 13, 2008 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with
Pastor Jimmy Holland officiating. The burial will follow in the Mabe Family
Cemetery in Wentworth. The
pallbearers will be Rock Shoemaker, Norman Shoemaker, Barry Wilson, Brian Rich,
Casey Faircloth and Gary Dickerson.
Mrs. Gauldin was a native of
Rockingham Co. and was on born May 12, 1933 to the late Coy and Essie Chaney
Mabe. Virginia
was a loving mother and a devoted member of the Graham Church of God. She loved living life to the fullest and was
a caring and giving person to all that knew her. Besides her parents she was preceded in death
by three husbands; sisters, Maggie Hollifield and Tootsie Crawford; brothers, Billy
Mabe and Swanson Mabe and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia is survived by her
sons; Tommy Talalah and wife, Barbara of Gibsonville, William Joseph Atkinson
and wife, Pamela of Pleasant Grove, Tony Ray Talalah and wife, Diane of
Reidsville, Timothy Robert Talalah and wife, Lisa of Cherokee, NC; daughters,
Dorothy Ann Harris of Gibsonville and Peggy Talalah Owen of Reidsville;
grandchildren, Russell, Jennifer, Melinda, Essie, Tammy, Angela, Timothy,
Clayton and Jennifer; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Opal Rich, Faye Shoemaker,
Irene Edwards, Nellie White, Anna Mae Winkler, and Jaunita Dickerson; several nieces
and nephews.
The family will receive
friends at Wilkerson Funeral home on Sunday, Oct 12, 2008 from 5-7pm and other times
at the home, as well as Faye Shoemaker’s home, 927 Knowles Road, Reidsville.
