Frances Benfield Perdue

Reidsville: Mrs. Frances Benfield Perdue, 86, of Reidsville passed on Tuesday, January 13th, 2015, at Wake Forest Medical Center. Mrs. Perdue was born in Rockingham County on February 26th, 1928, to the late Claude Lee and Irene Land Benfield. She loved animals of all kinds especially her dogs. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother who raised her, Gladys Murphy Benfield, her husband, Jack Perdue, sisters, Rachel McGeehee, Gay Doss and Carolyn Williams and brothers, David Benfield and Tom Murphy. Survivors include her son, Jackie R. Perdue and wife Faye; her daughter, Caroline Harrison and husband Frankie; her grandchildren, Kim Stevens and husband J.T., Michael R. Perdue and wife Nancy, Donna Wall and husband David, Joseph Perdue and Kristen and Brittany Harrison; seven great grandchildren; brother, Billy Benfield and wife Linda; sisters, LaVerne Benfield and Vivian Rowe and husband Rev. Allen “Bud”; special friends, Sandra Walker and Brenda Wingfield, and her fur baby Amigo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, with Pastor Doug Bray officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 PM, on Saturday, January 17th, 2015, at the church
