Frances Cole Roberson

Reidsville - Frances Cole Roberson, 90, of 7993 Hwy 87, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2012 at her granddaughter's home.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 27, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Roberson was a native of Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late, Robert and Martha Stiers Cole. She was retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company and a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and always put others first. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Beth Roberson; her granddaughter, Stephanie Ann Roberson and her husband, Bethel Roberson; her sisters, Nellie Roberts, Florence Conner and Bessie Legus.She is survived by her sons, Steve Roberson of Hazlehurst, GA, Mike Roberson of Reidsville, Eddie Roberson of Wentworth, Joe Roberson of Baltimore, MD and Mark Roberson and wife, Debbie of Matthews, NC; grandchildren, Michelle Roberson Paschal, Maria Roberson Thompson and husband, Jamie, Melissa Roberson, Jacob Roberson, Benjamin Roberson, John Roberson, Kaleigh Roberson and Tucker Roberson; great grandchildren, Cameron Paschal, Hannah Billingsley, Abbey Thompson, Kaylen Thompson and Joshua Thompson; special niece and caregiver, Jean Conner Varner and a large extended family.The family will be receiving friends Sunday, August 26 from 6-8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Michelle's home (7993 NC Hwy 87).Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, PO Box 281, Wentworth, NC 27375.
