Frances Motley Turner

Ruffin: Frances Motley Turner, 84, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010 at her home.Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Happy Home Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Bruce McBryde officiating. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Wallace Walker, Jeff Walker, Wayne Gilley, Ronnie Adkins, Dennis Strader and Chris DeLapp.Frances was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Moses and Gracie Giles Motley. She was a retired nurse with Danville OBGYN Association and was a member of Happy Home Congregational Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Julian Turner, brother, Stuart Motley; sister, Edith Motley Edwards; special friend, Paul Powell and step-mother, Ella Motley.Survivors include her daughter, Mary Frances Turner Baldwin; brother, Morris Motley; special friend, Paula Candler; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00AM.
