Frances Wright Wagoner

: Mary Frances Wright Wagoner, 94, passed away on January 17, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Friendship United Methodist Church with Rev. Nick Scandale officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Frances was born in Guilford County on August 7, 1923 to the late, Riley F. Wright and Lucille Brann Wright. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a life-long member of Friendship United Methodist Church and served the Busick Home Demonstration Club for many years. Her priorities included taking care of her family and selling vegetables at the Reidsville Farmer’s Market. She was a hardworking lady that contributed to her independent nature. Along with her parents, Mrs. Wagoner was preceded in death by her husband, Leon F. Wagoner Sr.; brothers: Fred Wright and Louis Wright. Mrs. Wagoner is survived by her sons: Frankie Wagoner and wife, Kay of Brown Summit, and Wayne Wagoner and wife, Daphna of McLeansville; grandchildren: Jeff Wagoner, Amanda Thompson, Shannon Law, Rhonda Holmberg, Keith Wagoner and Matthew Wagoner; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Sara Childress; sisters-in-law: Mildred Wagoner, Betty Busick, Shirley Huffines and Evaline Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held, Sunday evening January 21, 2017 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6:00 till 8:00 PM; other times at 7185 Brown Summit Road, Brown Summit.
