Frances Wilcox White

Reidsville: Frances Wilcox White, 82, of 221 Faye Lane, passed away Friday, January 29, 2009 at her son’s residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Midway United Methodist Church with Rev. George Robertson and Rev. Larry Scott officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. White was a native of Ashe County and the daughter of the late Phillip and Emma Severt Wilcox. She was retired from Bates Nightwear as a seamstress. She was a faithful member of Midway United Methodist Church and was very involved in the church activities. She loved making prayer shawls for friends and family. Along with her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by her son, Ronda Hart.Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” White of the home; son, Dean Hart and wife, Sue of Reidsville; daughters, Judy Pickett and husband, Sid of Greensboro and Louise Walton and husband, Dean of West Jefferson, NC; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Wilcox of West Jefferson, NC and Larry Wilcox of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters, Blanche Barker of West Jefferson, NC and Faye Greene of King George, VA.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Other times the family will be at Dean and Sue’s home (11501 US Hwy 158).
