Frances Strader Willis

Frances Marie Strader Stump Willis, 88, Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2028.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with pastor Joey Bray officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside committal will follow the service at Dan River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

Frances was born in Guilford to the late Arthur Weldon Strader and Muriel McKinney Strader. She was a loving mother and wife. Frances worked multiple jobs throughout her life and went on to be a beautician. She eventually retired from Cone Mills as a weaver. She was a longtime member of The Tabernacle Church in Danville, Va. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also known to enjoy the occasional trip to the Danville Casino.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband and father of her son, Leonard Glenn Stump Sr. and her 2nd husband, Giles Leroy Willis; siblings, Harry Douglas Strader, Wallace Weldon Strader, and Mary Elizabeth Strader Travis.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard Glenn Stump Jr. (Tracy Fulk) and Randy Willis (Wendy); grandchildren, Breanna Elizabeth Stump, Mitchell and Eli Willis; sister, Florine Strader Lillard as well as a loving extended family.
