Frank Reid Penn

Frank Reid Penn IV,70, passed away on Friday morning, September 16, 2016 at his Reidsville, NC home. Services celebrating Reid’s life will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 19, 2016 at Freedom Baptist Church, 471 Stone Road, in Reidsville. Following the service, entombment will be at Greenview Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4-6 PM Sunday, September 18 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Reid was born in Greensboro on August 17, 1946 and grew up in Reidsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roberta Winton Penn and Frank Reid Penn III. Reid attended the Hun School, Guilford College and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. His passions were world travel and helping other people. He served on the board of the Reidsville Salvation Army and REMMSCO House. Reid was also on the board of CenterPoint Human Services. Survivors are sisters: Roberta Penn and husband, Jerry Harrison of Wilmington, NC, and Anne Spencer “Spence” Miller and husband, Garth of Greensboro; brothers: Charles Penn and Ted Penn and his wife, Scottie of Reidsville. Survivors also include seven nieces and nephews and seven great nieces and nephews. Reid found new life through NA. in lieu of flowers, donations in his remembrance may be made to REMMSCO House, P.O.
