Frank Hassell Wilson

Reidsville: Frank “Billy” Hassell Wilson, 77, of 3694 Ashland Road, died on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at his residence.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Ashland Road Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Terrell and Rev. Gene Gouge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Butler, Kenny, Dewayne, Jerry, Buster and David Wilson. Billy was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late Frank and Hattie Ferrell Wilson and lived in Caswell County all of his life. He was a tobacco farmer, wonderful husband, father and friend and a member of Ashland Road Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Dale Wilson; siblings, Walter Wilson, Ward Wilson, Lena Cates and Vera Aldridge. He is survived by his wife Doris Gibson Wilson of the home; children, Deborah Wilson, Eddie Wilson and wife, Rose, Wanda Wilson, Susan Ross, all of Reidsville, Barbara Talalah and husband, Tommy of Burlington , Barry Wilson and wife, Tammy of Reidsville; grandchildren, Gail Talalah, Stephen Wilson and Angela, Brooke and Eric Simpson, Tammy Shumaker and husband, Richard, Nicole Purdy, Kenneth, Matthew and Sarah Wilson, all of Reidsville; great grandchildren, Justin Shumaker and Kadince Talalah; siblings, Jack and John Wilson, Annie Grubbs, Ina Holt and Helen Lovings; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, August 10th from 6:00 – 8:00PM. Other times the family will be at the residence. The family would like to especially thank Hospice of Alamance- Caswell County for the care received by Billy during his illness.
