Franklin Thomas Toler

Reidsville: Franklin Thomas Toler, 64, of 186 Talley Road left his earthly home on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Charles Daniel Toler officiating. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.Mr. Toler was a native of Rockingham County, born to the late Gilford Lynn Toler and Nettie Preston Toler-Massey. Frank attended Sadler Elementary and Ruffin High Schools and later graduated from RCC. He was a retired master electrician, a licensed real estate broker, and a successful real estate investor. Frank was a faithful Christian and director of a nursing home ministry, supporter of a local food pantry, and could always be counted on to help others in need. He delighted in sharing his knowledge and experience with others to their benefit. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elton Toler; sisters, Della Toler Jones, Jane Toler Shown, Minnie Toler Parsons, and Kathleen Toler Peoples; and first wife, Nancy Barnard Toler. Frank leaves behind, to always love him and treasure his memory, his wife, Joann Toler and their beloved dog “Babe” of the home; daughters, Kelly Toler Delancey and husband, Bradley of Reidsville and Stephanie Perdue and husband, Ray of Greensboro; step sons, Michael and Matthew Wilson of Laguna Beach, CA; brother, Charles Toler; sisters, Carrie Toler Bartlett, Doris Toler Norman, Brenda Toler Rakes and husband, Arnold, all of Reidsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 7-9 PM and other times at the residence.
