Fred Watson Goodman

Fred Watson Goodman, 88, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00A.M., Friday, June 24, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Charles Hutchens and Pastor Lisa Wishon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00- 11:00 AM at the funeral home and other times at Tim's home. Mr. Goodman was born in Cabarrus County to the late Clyde and Cleo Goodman and was a retired Major of the US Army. He was the former City Manager of Kannapolis NC and a retiree of Director of Public Works for the city of Reidsville. Survivors include daughter, Theresa Bendall and husband, John; son, Timothy Goodman and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Chris Bendall and fiancé, Autumn Cohen, Kristen Goodman and Bradley Goodman; sisters, Sudie Foil, Faye Owens; brother, Carroll Goodman and his grand dogs, Cinnamon and Maggie. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church Building Fund or Parsonage Fund, PO Box 338, Reidsville, NC 27320 where Mr. Goodman was a member.
