Reidsville – Fred Lindsey Lee, 87, of 804 Poplar Street, died on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at his home.Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Laura Wittman officiating. Mr. Lee was born in Ruffin, NC to the late Allen and Susie Cook Lee. He was a veteran in the US Navy, having served during World War II. He spent his adult life in Reidsville. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. His hobbies were cars, NASCAR racing and his many and varied pets. He loved a good meal. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loraine Smith Lee, his second wife, Constance Rich Lee and his sister, Minnie Gooch.He is survived by his nephew, Michael Gooch, and wife, Jill of Greenville and daughters Sabrina of Raleigh and Ginger of Durham; niece, Kaye Gooch of Raleigh; stepchildren, Evelyn Pennell and husband, Steve, Gerald Lee and wife, Mary Ann, Wayne Lee, Sr. and wife, Nancy, Brian Lee and wife, Connie, and Judy Smithey. The family will receive friends at his residence.
