Freda Shelton

Reidsville – Freda Belmany Shelton, 69 of 548 Drum Road, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Moses Cone Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Freda was born in Rockingham County to the late George Melvin and Lola Taylor Belmany. She was a CNA with Avante at Reidsville and continued to care for the elderly after retirement. She attended Freedom Baptist Church and along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Norman George Belmany. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Shelton of the home; daughter, Sonya Williams Huffstetler and husband, Brad of Reidsville; grandchildren, Hanna Huffstetler, Brittain Huffstetler and Haily Stephens; step daughter, Susan Stephens; sister, Margaret B. Stauffer of Reidsville; aunt, Rexie Niro of Reidsville; niece, Sarah Smith and husband, Jeff and nephew, George Stauffer and wife, Kristi. The family will see friends on Monday, August 19th from 6-8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Sonya and Brad Huffstetler, 1004 Benton Court.
