Frederick "Ricky" Scott Allen

Frederick “Ricky” Scott Allen, 64, of Reidsville passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 28, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday July 31, 2023, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Tuck officiating. The burial will follow the service at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and other times at Ricky’s home.

Ricky was born in Rockingham County to the late Clarence “Slim” Carlton Allen and Gloria Sunshine “Shine” Woodson. He served his country in the US Army. In the 80’s, he joined Gunn Auto Service where he retired after 30 years.  Ricky was a faithful member of the Rockingham County Gun Club where he shot skeet competitively. He enjoyed riding and working on his Harley Davidsons and before that, horseback riding with friends. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jay Allen.

Ricky is survived by his children, Scot Allen and Casey Allen; grandchildren,  Lachlan, Addison, Kyrie,  Riley, and Ryan; brother, Woody Woodson and wife, Tracey; nephews, Andy Woodson and fiancé, Lori, Lucas Woodson; special friend, Fran Turner, as well as a large and loving group of friends and family.
