Gail Hicks Massey

Gail Hicks Massey, 81, of Mayodan and formerly of Reidsville, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at UNC Hospital in Eden.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3^rd, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and other times at 1941 Ayersville Road, Mayodan. 

Gail was born in Stokes County, NC to the late Luther Franklin Hicks and Ester McGee Hicks.  She was a faithful member at Eastside Baptist Church until her health prohibited her from attending.  She loved her family, working crossword puzzles, baking and watching old western shows and Rev. Charles Stanley.  Gail had a great love for flowers and watching the beautiful birds.

She is survived by her son, Randy Hurd and wife, Kecia; daughter, Lisa Parson (Rick Pedigo); grandchildren, Justin Hurd (Ashley) and Landon Bullins (Wendy); great grandchildren, Payten, Tyler and L.J. Bullins; and her faithful canine companion, Houdini.
