Gary S. Bland

Reidsville: Gary S. Bland, 63, of Reidsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 9, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville with Rev. Gene Davis officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Friday prior to the service. The burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Gary was born on March 22, 1952, in Montgomery County, VA, to the late Charles and Wilma Hall Bland. He served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1978. He has lived in Reidsville for the past 18 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Pace Bland, a sister and a brother. Gary is survived by his siblings, Larry Bland and wife Mary, Sandy Lemons and husband John, Windill Bland and wife Pearl and Stephen Bland, Sr., and his step-children, James Roger Hayes, Jr., Joyce Hayes and Katherine Nicole Hayes.
