Gay Royce Davis

Reidsville – Gay Royce Davis, 82, of Avante at Reidsville, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Annie Penn Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, August 28 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Gay was born in Forsyth County to the late John Matt and Amanda Hutchins Davis. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII and a retiree of Chase Bag Company. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters.. Survivors include his children, Cheryl Davis Cook and husband, David of Eden and Barry Davis of Reidsville; five grand children and four great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 63, c/o Walter McNeil, 1132 Ashley Loop Road, Reidsville, North Carolina or a charity of donor’s choice.
