George "Peanut" Leon Gauldin

Eden: George Leon "Peanut" Gauldin, Jr., 56, of 490 Westerly Park Road, went home to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday morning, May 24, 2016 at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 28 at Osborne Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. As a resident of Eden, Peanut’s passion for spreading God’s love and willingness to demonstrate his servant heart will leave a legacy for generations to come. His smile and sense of humor were contagious. Peanut’s love for his family was undeniable and evident with every encounter. He made time for everyone when it counted most. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed it until his last days. Peanut was a longtime and faithful member of Osborne Baptist Church where he served as Director of Maintenance for over 16 years. Peanut was preceded in death by father, Leon Gauldin. Peanut is survived by his wife, Jill Martin Gauldin of the home; children, Jessica Gallardo and husband, Ernesto, Betsy Darst and husband, Chad and Wesley Gauldin and wife, Nadine; grandchildren, Ernesto, Adrian and Lydia Gallardo, Garrett, Morgan and Huckaby Darst; mother, Betty Gatewood Gauldin; sister, Bonnie Mueck and husband, Bob and a large extended family.
