Geraldine Stanley Walker

Reidsville - Geraldine "Jerry" Stanley Walker, 71, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Grace Covenant Holiness Church with Pastor Wendell Edwards officiating. The burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery.Mrs. Walker was born in Alamance County to the late Charlie and Lelia Mae Price Alcon. She was retired from Chase Bag. She was a long time and faithful member of Grace Covenant Holiness Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Their family vacations and memories included many trips to the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Stanley and her brother, Charlie Kermit Alcon, Jr.Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Stanley Leonard and husband, Harley of Winston-Salem and Leisa Stanley and Wayne LeSueur of Ruffin; grandchildren, Christopher Davis, Andrew Davis and wife, Leah Rae, Brittany Leonard and Danielle Leonard; great grandchildren, Haley Davis, Wyatt Davis, Madison Davis, Abby Davis and Emma Davis; brother, Darrell Alcon and wife, Theresa; sisters, Irene Vincent and husband, Alton and Joyce Hathaway and husband, Lucky; special cousins, Jeanette Cantrell and Doris Harder; and numerous other nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Wednesday April 25 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and other times at Leisa's home (7341 Hwy 700, Ruffin).Wilkerson Funeral Home is assisting the family and condolences may be sent to www.wilkersonfuneral.com.
