Gilbert Alan Willimet

Reidsville – Gilbert Alan Willimet, 73, of 141 Irvin Farm Road, went home to be with The Lord on Friday, June 12th, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on Father’s day, Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Covington Wesleyan Church with Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. Mr. Willimet was a native of Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Gilbert K. and Claire Long Willimet. He lived most of his life in Beaver Falls, PA and retired from McDanel Refractory after 31 years of loyal service. After graduating from Beaver Falls High School with the class of 1959, he proudly served his country in the US Air Force for four years. He was a faithful member of Covington Wesleyan Church, a loving father and a proud grandfather. He was an avid Walmart shopper and enjoyed playing softball and watching MLB Baseball during his later years. His favorite past time included spending time on his front porch and spoiling his dogs. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his special grandmother, Elta G. Long. He is survived by his wife, Linda Lee Willimet; his four children, Deborah Lynn Willimet of Negley, OH, Leigh Ann McMichael and husband, Jule of Reidsville, Christopher Willimet and wife, Valerie and Ryan Lee Willimet and wife, Christin all of Beaver Falls; grandchildren, Julie, Kaleigh, Madelyn, Tess, Brendan, Mikayla and Logan and his companion, Billie Jo Fritzley. In closing, a message from Gil, “Shed just one tear, then smile and celebrate my life for I am in Heaven with my mother, grandmother and my gracious, loving and magnificent Lord!”
