Gilda Clark Moore

Reidsville –Gilda Clark Moore, 84, of 1743 South Scales Street, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at her home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Evergreen Memory Gardens with her grandson, Hunter Carroll officiating. The family will see friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home one hour prior to the service from 1-1:45 PM and other times they will be at the home of her daughter, Melodie, 1532 W. Harrison Street. Gilda was born in Rockingham County to the late Ernest and Lillie Bullins Clark. She was the secretary at Penn Memorial Baptist Church for many years before retiring and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman D. “Tom” Moore and her son, Thurman “Gary” Moore. Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Moore Carroll and husband, Edward of Winston Salem, Renee’ Moore Pierce and husband, Frank of Raleigh, and Melodie Moore Watt of Reidsville; grandchildren, Brandi Moore, Scotty Moore, Hunter Carroll and wife, Kristen, Elizabeth Carroll, Charles Carroll and David Pierce; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Isaac Carroll and Kingston Moore; sisters and brothers, Jean Randolph, Betty White, Christine Sheppard, Billy Shaffer and Carl Clark.
