Gladys Miller Mitchell

Reidsville– Gladys Miller Mitchell, 73, of 545 Miller Chapel Road, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM, Monday, June 1, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.Gladys was born in Rockingham County to the late David Miller and Florence Miller Matthews and was a retiree of Unifi and a member of Reidsville Free Will Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Mitchell and a brother, Walter Miller. She was a precious person and was loved by all.Survivors include her sisters, Eliza Harris, Helen Holt both of Greensboro, Martha Bowman and husband, Marvin and Joanne Southard and husband, Joseph all of Reidsville; brothers, David Miller and wife, Inez of Reidsville and Billy Miller and wife, Marianna of High Point; numerous special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday evening at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home of Joanne and Joe, 695 Miller Chapel Road.
