Gloria Talley Woodson

Reidsville – Gloria “Sunshine” Talley Woodson, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Tuck officiating. Burial will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Talley, Randy Talley, Tim Talley, Scot Allen, Greg Knowles and Andy Chilton. Honorary Pallbearers will be the trustees and deacons of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church and Joe Niemczura, John Young, Bobby Smith, Ben Chilton and Harold Tate, The Sunshine Ladies of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church, and Reidsville High School Class of 1947. Shine was born in Rockingham County to the late Fred W. and Laura Wall Talley and was a graduate of Reidsville High School Class of 1947. She was a cosmetologist and the owner and operator of Hair Design Studio for many years. She was a faithful attendee of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church and a member of the Sunshine Ladies Club. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jay Allen and brothers, Mack Talley and Wilber Talley. Survivors include her sons, Ricky Allen and special friend, Renee Hieronymus and Woody Woodson and wife, Tracey; grandchildren, Scot Allen, Casey Allen, Andy Woodson and Lucas Woodson; great grandchildren, Lachlan Allen and Ryan Allen; brother, Fred A. Talley and wife, Peggy; nieces, Gayle Niemczura and husband, Joe and Barbara Young and husband, John; nephews, Jeff Talley and Randy Talley and wife Dawn. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday, June 14, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Other times you may visit the family at the home. The family wishes to thank her personal hospice nurse, Tina Ragan for the love and care shown to Shine during her difficult days.
