Reidsville – Glory Lou Geyer Zulauf, 49, born at Booth Memorial Hospital in NewYork, March 28, 1964, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She is survived by her husband, Frank Zulauf and loving daughter, Gillian Lyric Geyer, of the home; her sister Robin Geyer McKenzie and husband Robert of Taylorsville, brother Ronald A. Geyer, wife Abby and their son, all of New York, sister Sharron Hekkanen and husband, Justin and family of Florida, and brother Garrett Geyer and numerous other family members. Glory is preceded in death by her parents, Ronald A. Geyer, of New York and Betsy Baily Geyer of Hickory. She was a graduate of Hickory High School and Western Carolina University. She studied photography at the School of Visual Arts in New York and Central Piedmont Community College. She also taught photography classes as well as having her own darkroom. She was a “Jill of all trades”, conquering automotive and construction projects without a worry. An avid music fan, she attended many music festivals around the country and found great joy from the gift of music. Glory loved the outdoors including camping and bird watching and she bred and raised many Brittany Spaniels. She was a light that shone on everyone she came in contact with, a people person who never knew a stranger. A celebration of her life will be held on her 50th birthday at Woodmont United Methodist Church in Reidsville, Friday, March 28th at 11:00 AM. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the love and support through this difficult time to the Woodmont United Methodist Church family. They have entrusted arrangements to Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville. An additional service will be in Hickory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Good Samaritan Fund at Woodmont United Methodist Church in Reidsville.
