Gordon Paul Baillargeon

Gordon Paul Baillargeon “Butch”, 72, of Reidsville, NC & Bucksport, ME, parked his truck for the final time on March 26, 2025.

Gordon was born on April 13, 1952 (Easter Sunday) to William Alfred and Gretchen Brown Baillargeon and was brought home to his 7-generation family homestead in Seabrook, NH.

After graduating from Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, NH in 1970, Gordon proudly joined the US Navy serving in the Vietnam War on the USS Severn. He spent 15 additional years serving his country through the US Navy Reserves.

While serving in the Reserves, Gordon began his long career as a truck driver with Timberland Shoe Company, kicking off a 46 year long career safely driving over 4 million miles. He was proud to deliver oxygen to hospitals and wrapped up his career driving for Wal-Mart.

Gordon is survived by his wife Leigh Baillargeon of Reidsville, NC & Bucksport, ME and his beloved “rat-dog”, Bailey. He is also survived by his brother Jeff J. Baillargeon and his wife Lisa of Seabrook, sister Margo Collins and Mike of Plaistow, NH, and brother Leonard “Chops” Baillargeon and wife Joy of Seabrook. Gordon also leaves behind five children, twelve grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In his retirement Gordon and Leigh embraced his many interests including traveling to visit friends and family, sharing his love of steam-powered trains, trucks, guns, wood-working and history. He lived his life cherishing his family and many dear friends.

In honor of his wishes, there will not be a formal funeral, but rather a series of celebrations with friends and family across the eastern United States. He’s thankful for all of the memories and will, “See you down the line.”
