Gretchen Francis Reynolds, 65, of Caswell County, NC went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Canaan Land Baptist Church, 1560 West Harrison Street, Reidville, NC with Pastor Jason Sigmon officiating.
Gretchen was born in Alamance County, NC to the late John Roswell Reynolds and Gretchen Somers Perkins Reynolds. She grew up and lived in Caswell County,NC. Gretchen will forever be remembered as a devoted, humbled, loving, caring, kind hearted and one of the most compassionate children of God. Her entire life was devoted to providing unconditional love and support to her children and grandchildren. To her children she was their guiding light. Always setting the example of what a good parent, child, sibling and friend should be. Gretchen always displayed a mother’s love when it came to be being patient and tenderly loving with all of her children. To those who knew Gretchen, found her to be big on giving uplifting smiles along with that sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes and generous bear hugs. Along with those warm heart felt hugs, she would offer a few words of wisdom.
She lived her life as an optimist, held herself with the highest integrity and found ways to see the good in all people. Gretchen definitely gave her best for all the highs and lows whether it was with family or friends and it clearly showed. She will forever be remembered as a true testament to all who were blessed to cross her life pathway, never to let others walk away without feeling loved. She had a love of gardening, her favorite color was lavender, she loved the fresh smell of yellow tulips in the spring time, admired the beauty of butterflies, sipping on her ice cold Mt Dew while enjoying simple home cooked meals. Any problem or advice one may have asked of our Mother, she knew where to direct them to search for guidance in their Bible.
Someday we'll all be together again when we cross over to the other side. This is only a brief parting in the larger scheme of life.
Mommi, your children lift you up with all our love. We adore you, we cherish you and we will forever hold you with the highest respect. Always loved, never forgotten and we will hold you forever in our hearts, Mommiߒœ
