Reidsville – Gus A. Shelton, Jr., 88, of Trinity, NC, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Hospice Home At High Point. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Chapel of WilkersonFuneral Home in Reidsville, NC.Mr. Shelton was born in Danville, Va. and was a son of the late Gustavious Adolphus Shelton, Sr. and Viola Bernard Shelton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving during WWII and was a retired salesman. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Montgomery Shelton; brother, Otis Shelton and sister, Jewell JonesHe is survived by his wife, Jean Austin Shelton; son, Gus A. Shelton, III and wife, Vickie of Kilmarnock, VA; daughters, Nancy Shelton Worrell and husband, Jim of Charlotte, NC and Pamela Shelton of Trinity; grandchildren, Richard Worrell and wife, Alana, Christie Alexander and husband, Bodie, all of Charlotte and Parker Shelton Ellis of Trinity; great grandchildren, James Richard Worrell, III, Harris Worrell and Montgomery Alexander; brother, Ed Shelton and wife, Bonnie of Richmond, VA; sisters, Helen Thompson of Axton, VA, Mildred Harris of Kenneth Square, PA and Mamie McKee of Memphis, TN Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home at High Point, 1803 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27261 Or Hickory Grove United Methodist Church C/O Katie Cox, 344 Goose Pond Road, Ruffin, NC 27326
