Harry Crawford Jones, Jr. "H.C."

Harry Crawford Jones, Jr. “H.C.”, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at his home in Reidsville. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Arnold Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 29th from 5-7 PM. 

H.C. was born in Guilford County and lived most of his life in Reidsville. He was a member of Bibleway Community Church. He loved woodworking, fishing, going out on the lake, antiques, and flea marketing; along with a host of other hobbies he picked up along the way. He loved his family and getting together to eat with people. H.C. had a great sense of humor and loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a hard worker who never gave up on anything he set his mind to. In H.C.'s own words: "I'm an old man now! I'm retired and crazy. I love my family, fishing, friends and my wife Marie." He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Jones Sr. and Frances Blackmon; Step-father, Walter Blackmon, Sr.; brothers, Larry Jones, Garland Blackmon, Walter Blackmon, Jr, Douglas Blackmon and Donald Blackmon; his late wife, Betty Jean Jones; and son, Michael Jones. 

H.C. is survived by his beloved wife, Marie Jones; sons, Steven Jones; step-sons, Nathan McKinney (Angie) and Kevin McKinney (Patricia); step-daughter, Lisa Benson; grandchildren, Kristian Jones Robertson (Jonathan), Kay-leigh Jones, Victoria Jones, Brandon Jones and Tarrin Jones; several great-grandchildren, including Jaden Robertson and Leland Robertson; brother, Ronnie Jones (Charlotte); and step-sisters, Mary Blackmon Hill (Buck), and Faye Blackmon Rutherford (Dean).
