Harry Lee "Tony" Manuel

Reidsville: Harry Lee “Tony” Manuel, 68, passed away peacefully at his home after a brief illness on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville. Harry was born on August 23, 1947, in Rockingham County, NC, to Harry Odell and Ellene Pulliam Manuel. He graduated from Madison-Mayodan High School in 1965 and also attended Davidson Community College, furthering his education in auto body repair. Along with his wife and son, he owned and operated M&H Body Shop for the past 40 years. He was a past Captain of the Reidsville Rescue Squad. Harry supported many projects in the community, such as the Reidsville High School Super 30 Program and the YMCA Bright Beginnings. He had a big heart, going the extra mile to help anyone he could. He was an excellent cook, enjoying his annual Thanksgiving stew. He also liked woodworking and watching NASCAR. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Odell Manuel. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary Manuel; his daughter, Chanda Manuel Trent; his son, Brandon Lee Manuel and wife Margaret “Meg”; his grandchildren, Portia Dale Manuel, Remington Lee Trent, Katherine Elizabeth Manuel and Benjamin Lee Manuel, and his mother, Ellene Manuel. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2015, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
