Harry William "Billy" Watlington

Reidsville– Harry William “Billy” Watlington., 72, After a valiant battle with cancer went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 10, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 14, 2018, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Milton Kennon officiating. Mr. Watlington was born on May 8, 1946, in Mecklenburg County to the late Mary Elizabeth Keats and Harry Edward Watlington. He loved to hunt, fish, garden and he raised the best tomatoes around. He loved his wife, children and especially his fur kids Doodle and Taz. He could often be found watching an Atlanta Braves or Carolina Tarheels game. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Nancy Emerson and lifelong friend Robert French. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Brenda Meeks Watlington; Children, Misty Williams (Andy), Billy Joe Watlington (Pam); grandchildren, Matthew (Amanda), Benjamin, Caitlin and a great granddaughter Paisley Marie along with a large extended family. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, May 13, from 6-8 P.M and other times at the home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Rockingham County, P.O.
