Harvey "Bud" Russell Moore

Reidsville: Harvey “Bud” Russell Moore, Jr., 80, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Pastor Billy Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Bud was born on August 4, 1934, in Rockingham County to the late Harvey, Sr. and Elsie Spicer Moore. He was a deacon at The Rock Church of the Living God in Reidsville. He was a tobacco farmer and also worked for Cone Mill. He bought and sold all different kinds of animals. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Markham and two daughters, Glenda Moore Scott and Sharon Moore Courtney. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Moore; his children, Timothy Moore, Junior Jarrell, Deloris Wallace, Garry Jarrell and Ricky Jarrell; five grandchildren, Grayson Cole Moore, Kimberly Pait, Denise Thomas, Michele Knighten Courtney and Christine Bondurant; nine step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eleven step-great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one step-great-great grandchild; one brother, Roger Moore and one sister, Mae Williams. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 2, 2015, at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M. and other times at the home of Junior and Winnie Jarrell, 121 Green Meadow Rd. in Reidsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smith-McMichael Cancer Center, 516 S. Van Buren Rd., Eden, NC 27288.
