Hazel Stanley Samuels

Reidsville – Hazel Stanley Samuels, 73, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Rockingham County Hospice Home.A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Frank Dunn officiating. Mrs. Samuels was born on August 4, 1937 to the late Harry and Elsie Doss Stanley. She loved living life to the fullest but most of all she was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnny Gilbert Samuels, Sr. Hazel is survived by her children Janice Farmer, Brenda Patton, Carolyn Hutchens, Rhonda Mullins, Johnny Samuels, Jr. and wife, Shelia, Denise Miller, Penny Vernon, Gina Burroughs and husband, Roger; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildrenThe family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at the home of Johnnie and Shelia Samuels, 2360 Wentworth Street in Reidsville from 6:00 – 8:00 Monday, March 28. The family request in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.
