Reidsville – Helen O’Bryant Coleman, 86, of 1460 McCoy Road died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Helen was born in Rockingham County to the late William “Buck” M. and Ada Simpson O’Bryant. She was employed with American Tobacco Company for 42 years and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood “Red” Young Coleman; brother, Benny O’Bryant; two sisters, Grace Jobe and Earlene Gammons. She is survived by her son, Elwood “Eddie” Coleman, Jr. and his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Pam Coleman all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Abby and Mitch Coleman; sister, Thelma Booker; sisters-in-law, Dot Chilton, Chespina Coleman and Martha Coleman. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00PM Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at Pam’s home, 1531 McCoy Road.
