Helen Pickrell Wall

Reidsville – Helen Virginia Pickrell Wall, 83, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 14, 2010.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Brown officiating The interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.Mrs. Wall was born May 18, 1926 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late William T. and Bertie Canady Pickrell. She attended Bethany High School and worked at the American Tobacco Company. She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Walter T. Pickrell.She was married to Rev. Vincent G. Wall, Sr. on April 25, 1944 and they shared almost 66 years of joy together. Besides her husband, who is left to cherish her memory, she is survived by her two sons, Vincent G. “Jerry “ Wall and wife, Cynthia of Greensboro and David Wall and wife, Susan of Hope Mills, NC. She is also survived by two grandsons, Andrew Wall and wife, Heather and Keith Wall and wife, Monica; two granddaughters, Kathy Tibbles and husband, Paul and Leia Parker and husband, Jon; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister-in-law, Inez Wall and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Monday, March 15th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM and other times at the home.
