Helen Lavonne Wilis

Ruffin–Helen Lavonne Saunders Willis, 77, passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Guerrant Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Powell and Larry Clifton officiating. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. Helen was born in Danville, VA to the late Alvis and Lola Hall Saunders and was a homemaker. She was a member of Guerrant Springs Baptist Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George “Sonny” Willis; granddaughter, Brittany Dawn Webb and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Willis Webb and Penny Willis Hanna and husband, Roger; granddaughter, Tiffany Brooke Webb; son-in-law Dean Webb and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Guerrant Springs Baptist Church and other times at the home.
