Henry Leon Botts

Reidsville – Henry Leon Botts, Sr., 67, of 1208 Northup Street, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, May 4, 2009 at Sheldon Road Baptist Church in Greensboro. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. Mr. Botts was born in Guilford County to the late Angus Brooks Botts, Sr. and Blanche Hemphill Botts. He retired from P.Lorillard after 31 years of service. He faithfully attended Sheldon Road Baptist Church and was a previously a Deacon of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church and Sheldon Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Wyrick Survivors include his wife, Hazel “Nell” Brake Botts of the home; Children, Margaret Botts Roland and companion, Corey Greeson of Brown Summit, Henry Leon Botts, Jr. and wife, Sara of Orange, CA, Samuel Botts and Amanda Botts Dunn and husband, Kevin of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 6 brothers; 2 sisters; mother-in-law, Ruby Brake of Greensboro. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, May 3, 2009 from 7-9 PM and other times at the residence.
