Reidsville – H. Jack Patterson, Sr., 74, of 146 Glendale Drive, died on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Annie Penn Hospital.Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Wilkerson Funeral Home, with Pastor Jason Reid officiating. The burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military graveside rites.Mr. Patterson was born in Rockingham County to the late David and Maggie O’Dell Patterson. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during the Korean Conflict. Jack was the owner & operator of Patterson Plumbing and Heating. He was of the Baptist faith. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Wayne Patterson, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Frances Kelly Patterson of the home; his children, Joyce Patterson of Reidsville, H. Jack “Jay” Patterson and wife, Lisa of Reidsville and Linda King and husband, Phil of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, Thea Fineout and husband, Gunther, Phillip Luster and wife, Ashley, Kelly Patterson, J.J. Patterson, Brilin Williams, and Mark “Tony” Dockery, Jr.; brother, Eugene Patterson; half sister, Helen Denny; step brother, Randolf Boaz; step sisters, Beulah Patterson, Mary Lea Wilson, and Nancy Joyce; sister-in-law, Marie Shelton and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends Thursday, January 27 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, prior to the service and other times at the home.In Lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Reidsville Soup Kitchen, PO Box 1826, Reidsville, NC 27320.
