Herbert Franklin Perkins, 76, of 1202 Green Street, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at his home.
A private cryptside service will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at Evergreen Memory Gardens. There will be no formal visitation.
Herb was born to the late George and Blanch Porterfield Perkins. He was retired from Adams Electric after many years of service and was member of Eastside Baptist Church. Herb loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, and especially cherished beach and doo wop music. He never missed Pastor Murray every morning. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Scott Franklin Perkins and brothers, Bobby, Billy, and Ricky Perkins.
Herb is survived by his wife, Linda Walker Perkins; daughter, Susan Walters and husband, Harvey; granddaughter, Tiffany Bailey and husband, David; great grandsons, Wyatt, Colt, and Lucas Bailey; sister, Peggy Perkins Hill and husband, Larry; brother, Leonard Perkins; nephew, Michael Robison; and great niece, Kelley Robison.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to their wonderful neighbors, James and Dana Boswell for their love and support during this difficult time. Also, the family would like to thank the Reidsville Police Department and the Rockingham County EMS for their special attention to our crisis at home.
