Howard Samuel Moricle

Reidsville: Howard Samuel Moricle, 86, of 1001 Poplar Street, died on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 8, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. Howard was born in Reidsville, NC to the late Mullen C. Moricle, Sr. and Carrie Echols Moricle. He retired from Macfield and was a veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. He was member of First Congregational Christian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.W. Moricle and Charles “Mody” Moricle; sisters, Annie Hall, Louise Cooke and Pauline Woodall. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McCollum Moricle; son, Steve Samuel Moricle and wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Sandra Gail Moricle; grandchildren, Matthew Samuel Moricle and John Thomas Moricle; brother, M.C. Moricle., Jr.; sisters, Ella Mae Carter, Charlotte Baker and Betty Hagwood, and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Other times the family will be at 2201 Woodland Drive, Reidsville.
