Howard Eugene Newcomb

Reidsville: Howard “Gene” Newcomb, 77, of 18 Circle Drive, passed away on Sunday, October 11, at his home. The family will have a private service at a later date. Gene was born in Pittsylvania County, VA and was the son of the late, David and Rose Newcomb. He retired from Gunn’s Auto and was an avid sportsman; especially hunting and fishing. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Howard Newcomb; grandson, Joe Newcomb; and brother, Gerald Newcomb. Gene is survived by his wife, Judy Motley Newcomb of the home; son, Scott Newcomb; daughter, Kathy Vint; 6 grandchildren; step children, Gary and Randy McGehee and Fondra Finney; 7 step grandchildren; and brother, Curtis Newcomb.
