Reidsville: Hunter Marie Oakley Hill, 67, of Iron Works Rd passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating. The burial will follow in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden.
Marie was born on November 27, 1948 to the late Hunter and Beverly Oakley.
Marie was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Reidsville. In the community she was well known for her chicken salad, deviled eggs and pickles. In addition to her love for the Lord, she loved to bird watch and spend time with family and close friends.
Her husband W. Johnny Hill, her father-in-law William W. Hill and niece, Margaret Fagg precede her in death.
She is survived by her sister Helen Snead of Greensboro; brother Robert Oakley, and wife Vickie of Reidsville; nieces Ashley Snead of Greensboro, Erica Tobin and husband Tyler of Thomasville; great nephew and nieces Haiden, Tinley, and Teagan Tobin; mother-in-law Gladys M. Hill; her sisters-in-law Doris Matkins and Wanda Fagg; and her brothers-in-law Donnie Hill and Kenneth Hill; nephews, James Fagg and Will Matkins; along with many other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
