Iris Temple Foster Stephens

Reidsville, NC – Iris Temple Foster Stephens, 73, of 8745 US Hwy 29, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Annie Penn Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Tillman and Rev. Ralph Clayton officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Stephens was born in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late William Andrew and Margaret Ross Foster. She was a retired rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service in Ruffin. She was a longtime and faithful member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church. Mrs. Stephens was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Bud” Stephens; her sons, Marvin “Honk” Stephens and Roger Dale Stephens; and her brother, Wayne Foster. She is survived by her son, Keith Stephens and wife, Gina; her daughter, Deb Bibee and husband, Tim all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Craig and Josh Bibee, Andrew, Jared and Erin Stephens, Beth Shoemaker and husband, Dwayne and Beverly Stephens; great grandchildren, Christopher and Stephen Shoemaker and Jordan Harrison and numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 18, from 7-9 PM.
