Jack Thomas Lindsey

Jack Thomas Lindsey, 86, of Timber Lane passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Evergreen Memory Gardens with Pastor Heath Lloyd officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Cheryl’s home (315 Country Farm Road).

Jack was born in Rockingham County to the late Jesse and Jessie Gammon Lindsey. He retired from Sears and Roebuck with over 40 years of service. Jack was an avid golfer and spent many special moments on the golf course with the love of his life, Nannie. He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed restful times at home. Along with his parents, Jack was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nannie Carter Lindsey; and son-in-law Daryl Martin.

Jack is survived by his daughter Cheryl Martin; grandchildren Lindsey Alcorn (Gerald), and Ethan Alcorn (Teresa); step grandson Josh Martin (Chrissy); and sister Helen Lindsey. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care provided to Jack by Audrey Wilson, Tammy Ziglar, Dina Alcorn, Debbie Alcorn, Anita Vernon, and Patsy Pruitt. Also, the family would like to thank Frank Hubbard and Sarah Carter for their love and faithful visits over the last couple of years.
