Jack Calvin Vernon

Reidsville - Jack Calvin Vernon, 72, of 3108 Wentworth Street, died on Friday, September 27, 2013, at Beacon Place, Greensboro, N. C. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 P.M.. Mr. Vernon was born in Rockingham County to the late Charlie and Annie Vernon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. He was active in outdoor activities. He loved his family and retired from Davey Tree Service with over 25 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Betty Vernon; sons, Randy Vernon and Dwayne Vernon; daughters, Cindy Vernon and Angela Wilson and husband, Terry; grandchildren; Roger “T.P.” Gibson, Jr. and wife, Bobbie Jo, Ronald ”JR” Priddy and wife, Tabitha, Kelsie Vernon; great grandchildren, Cody Gibson, Kaylee Gibson, Tyler Gibson, Keeri, Brenna Carter, Taylor Carter, Leland “Spanky” Priddy; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Polly and George Felton ; sister, Vera Curry and many thanks to Greensboro Hospice and Beacon House. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM and other times at 333 Massey Road.
