Jackie Cole Wilkins

Reidsville: Jackie Cole Wilkins, 80, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Britthaven of Madison. She was born on July, 25, 1929 and was a lifelong resident of Reidsville before moving to Britthaven. Jackie was a dedicated Christian and faithful member of Reidsville First Assembly of God. She was a devoted mother to her children and to many others who claimed her as their “Mom”, and was a very special Maw-Maw to her grandchildren. Jackie was a retiree of the Rockingham County Schools in the food service area. She was known for her love of God, her smile, her love of gardening, her wonderful meals and her gentle sweet spirit. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Strickland, her father, Willie Lee Cole, her brother, Willie Lee Cole, Jr. and her beloved niece, Debbie Lynn. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Cook and husband, Charles “Ceedy”, her son, Kirby Wilkins and wife, Jenny, grandsons, Brad Cook and wife, Crystal, all of Reidsville and Greg Cook and wife, Holly of Fayetteville, great granddaughter Kylee, sister, Mary Madren and husband, Marvin of Reidsville along with a host of extended family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on September 22 at 2:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jenny Wilkins and Rev. Jonathan Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of Ceedy and Janet Cook, 525 Parkland Road, Reidsville. The family would like to thank the staff of Britthaven for the care and love shown to mother and to us.
