Jacqueline Smith Jones

Eden - Jacqueline Smith Jones, 66, of 212 Greenwood Street, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Smithey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jones was born on July 28, 1945 to the late George Robert and Gladys Duncan Smith. She was of the Baptist faith. Jackie was a wonderful mother and grandmother that loved her family very deeply. She enjoyed fishing and loved her animals. Jackie was a very outgoing woman that was very giving and thoughtful. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Jones; brother, Billy Smith and sister, Frances Smithey. Jacqueline is survived by her sons, Douglas Southard, Jr. and wife, Jessica and Bruce Southard and fiancée, Barbara Ann Ingle; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Melissa Cole, and husband, Randy.The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Melissa Cole, 511 Victor Street, Eden.
