James Engene Brim

REIDSVILLE: James Eugene “Boots” Brim, 87 of 1555 Barnes Street, died at Annie Penn Hospital on Friday, February 22, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Baptist Temple Church. Interment will follow in Reidlawn Cemetery with military graveside rites. Boots was a native of Rockingham County and retired from Miller Cannery. He was a Navy Boatswain’s 2nd Class and a World War II veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be truly missed by all! He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Brim and sister, Edna Little. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beatrice Joyce Brim; daughters, Carol Brim James and husband, Barry, Martha Murphy and husband, Ray; son, Paul Brim and wife, Bobbie; step son, Charles Joyce, Sr.; granddaughters, Jennifer Evans and husband, Chris, Melissa Fain, Kim Cox and husband, Randall; grandsons, Charles Joyce, Jr. and wife, Kelly, Kurt Porter and wife, Debra; great grandsons, Tyler and Chandler Evans. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Saturday, February 23rd from 7:00 – 9:00 PM. Other times the family will be at the residence.
