Reidsville –Mr. James Keith French, 58, of 1302 Crutchfield Road, Reidsville, died Friday, January 10th, 2014 at Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
Keith was born on September 15th, 1955 in Danville, Virginia to the late James Elwood and Patricia Pryor French. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. He was a true cowboy and loved watching old westerns. Keith was a board member of the North Carolina Cattlemans Association and was a past scout leader and was instrumental in reviving the Boy Scout troop at Mt. Carmel Church. He was the owner of Creek Ridge Livestock Services. Through his business and personal relationships with fellow cattleman, he was always available to help his friends with anything that they needed.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce French; one son, Matthue French, both of the home; his mother and father-in-law: Polly and Wallace Warren; aunts: Shirley Alderson; Carolyn Ramsey and husband, Joe; Virgina French; Marion French; numerous extended family members.
Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock on Monday, January 13th, 2014 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Reverend Beverly Gaska and Reverend Ralph Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12th, 2014 from six until eight o’clock at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville and other times at the residence.
